Local Research Advocate Gains National Recognition
The North Florida Chapter of the National MS Society would like to recognize and congratulate Megan Barrett on being elected to the board of the International Organization of MS Nurses. Megan graduated from the University of Florida with her bachelors and masters degrees in nursing and recently received her Doctorate in Nursing from the University of Florida as well. Megan is currently an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with the Beaches Neurology in Jacksonville Beach and is a nursing professor at Jacksonville University. In the past, Megan has given numerous, informational talks on MS for patient and professional groups along with volunteering for numerous special events within the Chapter. Megan serves on the Chapter’s Clinical Advisory Committee and is the chapter’s Research Advocate. Megan has outstanding accomplishments and has given much help to different organizations in the Jacksonville Community.
