Now Accepting Applications for MS Service Day

What a Difference a Day Makes: MS Service Day!
Friday, November, 6, 2009
9am-4pm

If you are living with MS and need a helping hand around the house, MS Service Day volunteers are here to help! Volunteers from our Chapter will divid into teams and complete projectos for or provide friendly visitation to people living with MS in Jacksonville and surrounding areas.
*Eligible areas include Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.

Some of the projects volunteers can assist with include:

• Yard work
• Small household repairs
• Cleaning gutters (1-story homes only)
• De-cluttering house or garage
• Painting
• Cleaning out and organizing closets
• Moving furniture
• Packing/Storing items in garage or attic
• Heavy cleaning
• Transporting donated items to thrift shops
• Handyman chores
• Running errands
• Building Ramps (restrictions apply)
• Friendly Visitors (includes homes, assisted living and nursing homes)

Applications to participate mus be received by September 30,2009
Applications for services may be denied due to limited volunteers and time. We will notify you on or before Friday, October 9th regarding the status of your application for serivce. For everyone's protection, background checks will be performed on all participants and volunteers.
