Topic: Participating in Clinical Trails
Dr. Absner will provide an overview of the drug development process that must be followed in order to bring a drug to market in the United States. His overview will address the "phases" of clinical trails that are required for a new drug application to be approved by the FDA. He will discuss some of the risks and benefits of participating in clinical trials and summarize the informed consent process. MS drug development research and several challenges/obstacles to research progress will also be addressed.
