The South Florida Chapter has multiple loan closets that provide service to individuals with MS. These loan closets are medical supply companies that coordinate the service and deliver equipment that has been purchased or donated by the South Florida Chapter. These companies donate their time, space and effort to assist the South Florida Chapter in providing this service to individuals with MS. The equipment in the loan closets range from scooters to canes, and are available for those who qualify for the service.
If you are in need of equipment and have no medical insurance coverage, or are waiting for your insurance to approve the purchase of the equipment, please contact the Programs Department at the South Florida Chapter 1 800 FIGHT MS (800-344-4867), and we will process your request with the corresponding loan closet. If you have insurance coverage, and are in need of equipment, the medical supply companies that work with the South Florida Chapter can assist you in expediting the claim with your insurance company. In addition, they can provide tips and suggestions on what equipment might be suitable for your needs.
