Silk Road - Donations Requested
Silk Road 2009
Dear Friends of Silk Road,
For the past 5 years, the Hawaii office of the National MS Society has hosted the Silk Road event. It has become an event people look forward to as a way to support the Society’s efforts to create a world free of MS. Your past support has enabled us to provide programs and services for local people with MS and their families.
Due to continued economic uncertainty, we’ve decided to forego the Silk Road event for 2009. With increased food costs and limited availability for a venue, we feel it is in the best interest of the Hawaii office to continue this event in 2010 when the economy will hopefully be in a recovery.
We would like to ask you to make a gift to the Silk Road event as you have in past years, even though we are not hosting the event this year. Now more than ever, people with MS in our local community are depending on us for financial assistance, as well as program and service delivery.
For every $100 you contribute to the Silk Road, your name will be entered in a drawing for a three-day, two-night stay in Las Vegas. This stay will include hotel accommodations for two on the Las Vegas Strip and two admission tickets to Phantom, Jersey Boys, or Blue Man Group. Airfare is not included in the package. This package has a value of over $700.
Thank you again for your continued support of people living with MS and their families in Hawaii. Your support, now and in the future, will move us closer to finding the cause and cure of MS.
Sincerely,
Diana Su
