The Greater Illinois Chapter is comprised of all the Illinoisans who have joined the movement to create a world free of multiple sclerosis and the work that they do through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Volunteers, staff, healthcare workers, researchers, donors, advocates and partners together represent the Greater Illinois Chapter and all the many ways it’s possible to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is the only voluntary health organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, alleviation and cure of MS. Not only that, but we are the only voluntary organization that meets the standards of all major agencies that rate non-profit groups.
Within a 50-state network of chapters working to advance the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s mission, the Greater Illinois Chapter is a leader in securing funds for MS clinical research. In addition, the chapter provides a wide variety of programs and services for people living with MS, their families and friends, and healthcare professionals across Illinois. Right now, 89 percent of the money collected by the chapter goes directly to programs, services and research.
The Greater Illinois Chapter is a Charity Navigator Four-Star Charity.
