Your income tax form is a unique and effective way to support the Greater Illinois Chapter as part of Illinois’ 2008 Income Tax Check-Off Program, but our inclusion in future Illinois tax check-off programs is at risk unless we raise another $21,500 in tax check-off donations by October 1. If you have not yet filed 2008 Illinois State income taxes, there is still time to make a difference.

Although the late tax-filing deadline is Oct. 15, there's an earlier deadline for the chapter's continued tax check-off program eligibility:

check-off donations must be confirmed by Oct. 1. Because it takes time to process tax filings, not to mention in-the-mail time, PLEASE FILE BY SEPTEMBER 20.
Note: The check-off donation is not an option on an amended return -- only those filing late or with an extension are eligible.

Donating is easy: simply check the box and write-in your donation in Step 10, Line F of the IL-1040 Income Tax form.
