The James Cantalupo Growth and Empowerment Camp is a week long overnight camp for youth entering 6th-11th grades by the fall of the participation year.
MS Youth Camp 2011 took place June 20 - 25 at Camp Icaghowan in Amery, Wisconsin where over 130 campers, volunteers and staff enjoyed the island.
The camp was generously made possible for a fourth year through a partnership between the Greater Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin chapters of the National MS Society and with the committed support of the Cantalupo family.
This past camp, youth returned saying, "It was so much fun. You made my camp experience really special and now I know M.S. better too and how I can help my mom." and, "Thank you NMSS and the Cantalupo family. We feel so lucky to be a part of this community!"

Although our history is still young, these years are laying the foundation for a lifetime of enrichment for over 20 families, and growing. Our collaborative youth camp is tailored to support young people whose family member lives with MS.
Youth from Greater Illinois travel to the Western Wisconsin, Northern Minnesota area to attend camp with approximately 100 Society youth in a week that builds memories, bonds and skills to navigate through their lives in a positive way. Enjoy a glimpse of past camps by clicking here >>
We look forward to serving more families and engaging more youth is this life changing program in the years that lie ahead. The late James Cantalupo, a former McDonald’s Corp. CEO, had a sister with MS and was a strong National MS Society supporter.
