The National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Indiana State Chapter is pleased to announce a new educational workshop for yoga teachers and health care professionals. The workshop will emphasize the use of yoga techniques when working with people who have MS and other challenging health conditions. The program is presented by Karen O’Donnell Clarke, and integrative yoga therapist, who has been teaching yoga techniques at National Multiple Sclerosis Society chapters throughout the country since 2003.
Yoga’s high adaptability, proven improvement to muscle tone and balance, and ability to reduce muscle spasms makes it the perfect exercise for people living with MS. The program includes practical information for yoga teachers as well as a model for integrating yoga philosophy into practices for body, mind and spirit.
