MS Next Step

The MS Next Step(SM) program has a two-fold purpose in its function of supporting people with MS and the medical professionals who serve them. To that end, the National MS Society has developed a patient portfolio that is intended for distribution by neurologists to people diagnosed with MS within the last 24 months. The portfolio contains information about the disease, treatment and services provided by the National MS Society and the Indiana State Chapter. The portfolio that has been approved by the Client Education Committee of the National Medical Advisory Board of the National MS Society.

If you are a medical professional who works with newly diagnosed patients and would like to request MS Next Step (SM) kits, please download the MS Next Step (SM) order form and send to:
National Multiple Sclerosis - Indiana State Chapter
3500 DePauw Boulevard, Suite 1040
Indianapolis, IN 46268
Or fax to:
317-870-2520; Attn: Marci Corbin

If you are newly diagnosed, please ask your neurologist for the MS Next Step kit.

Young Persons with MS

Young Persons with MS: A Network for Families with a Child or Teen With MS (formerly Children with MS: North American Family Support Network). This support network provides multiple program options for families living with a child or teen who has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This program offers email groups, short-term counseling, and information and referral through your local chapter. A parent handbook titled Kids Get MS Too: A Guide for Parents Whose Child or Teen has MS, is now available.

To order a copy of the handbook or to find out more information about the network, please visit main.nationalmssociety.org/peds_network.asp. You may also contact the Program Coordinator at 1-866-KIDS-W-MS (1-866-543-7967) or send an e-mail to childhoodms@nmss.org.
