Employer of the Year Nominations
The annual NMSS Employer of the Year award provides the opportunity to recognize employers in the community who have made significant contributions toward the hiring and retention of workers with multiple sclerosis as well as other disabilities. The award is intended to recognize employers for positive employment practices and to publicly highlight and encourage those efforts.
Award criteria:
- The company currently has an employee with multiple sclerosis.
- The company supports and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- The company has taken one or more actions that have increased or enhanced employment opportunities for an individual with MS.
- The company has taken a leadership role and serves as a role model in advancing disability rights. (This criterion is mandatory for nominees in the more than 100 employees category, points still will be given to nominees that provide examples of such leadership.)
