Walk MS raises $600,000 so far and closes in on goal!
In April 2009, more than 5,300 registrants in 19 Mid America Chapter locations walked to one destination: a world free of multiple sclerosis. We thank each and every participant, volunteer, donor, sponsor and supporter who brought us one giant step closer to a cure for this disease. A special thanks to those who chaired Walk MS in their communities. Your time and talent is much appreciated!
More than just a fundraising event, the 21st annual Walk MS was a celebration for an entire community. The money raised will fund local programs & services and research on a national level. The event itself created a hope-filled and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone affected by MS while generating a greater awareness of multiple sclerosis in the public at large.
"I know what hard work it is just to support an event like Walk MS," said participant and top fundraiser Gina Peak after Walk MS Springfield. "And I know that events like these have played a major role in the advances in treatment and knowledge of the disease. Keep up the great work! It was a wonderful day."
