MS Society Honored Tom Bowser, CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City

The Mid America chapter honored Blue Cross Blue Shield President Tom Bowser as a “Champion” at the 2009 Dinner of Champions premier gala event. This elegant evening included a three course dinner and a raffle of exquisite Tivol diamond earrings and an autographed Tour of Missouri jersey. Bowser was presented with the Hope Award, the National MS Society’s highest achievement recognizing his significant business, civic and philanthropic contributions to the community. News anchor Jeff Vaughn of NBC Action News emceed the evening’s program, held at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Kansas City. Board Member and fellow BCBS employee Candi Moss praised Bowser’s commitment to those with MS, and Channing Barker’s testimony reflected how the scholarship program enables those affected by MS to move forward and achieve their dreams.
