Bike MS - We need YOUR help!

Volunteer for the 25th anniversary of biking for MS in Springfield. Or help continue the cycling tradition in Kansas City & Topeka. Join hundreds of volunteers in this endurance event by lending your skills, energy and time the weekend of September 19 & 20 in the Ozarks and September 26 & 27 in Kansas City and Topeka!

  • Serve on our committees to help create a memorable experience or ramp up the excitement at the overnight.
  • Help before the ride by signing the route, making encouraging signs, recruiting even more volunteers or distributing brochures.
  • At the Start line, help with set-up, registration/rider check-in, parking/traffic control and luggage.
  • Along the route, be our sign crew, safety patrol, motorcycle escorts, SAG (support and gear) drivers, medical team, truck drivers & loaders or rest stop volunteers!
  • At our overnight, help set up our celebration, have all the answers in the Rider Welcome Tent, or be a part of the clean up team.

There's a job for every age and every group size, sign up online or give us a call at 1-800-344-4867 and press 2 to find out more.

Walk MS

To create a world free of MS, the Mid America Chapter hosts walks complete with rest stops, snacks, entertainment and encouragement. In 2008, more than $600,000 was raised for programs and services. We'll be looking for help again in 2009, so think about how you can join the movement.

  • Help before the event in our offices by labeling packets, packing boxes of supplies or loading trucks. In KC, we’re loading trucks the week of March 30 – don’t miss out on the fun!
  • Help out the day before the Walks by signing the route!
  • Direct traffic by serving on the parking crew.
  • Engage participants in the MS experience at our Programs tent.
  • Can you drive a 20 ft. truck? Help us deliver supplies to the rest stops along the route.
  • Support participants along the route.
  • Cheer on participants at the finish line.
  • Prepare and serve a light lunch or snacks for participants.
  • Check in our participants, count fundraising dollars and enter financial data in our systems.
  • Ensure the safety and direction of the route by serving on the safety patrol.
  • and MUCH MORE!

We have volunteer positions for all ages and all size groups. Enjoy the fun, meet new friends and join the movement against MS! Contact us at info@nmsskc.org or 1-800-344-4867 and press 2 to find out more.
