MS is a disease that is unpredictable and the Maryland Chapter understands that circumstances can quickly change for those living with MS. In order to help meet these needs, the Chapter offers a one-time Emergency Financial Assistance program to help cover unexpected expenses that are specifically related to the effects of MS and items/services to help maintain personal safety and well-being.
Examples of the items that may be covered are:
- air conditioners
- one-time prescription drug assistance
- one-time payment of mortgage
- one-time utility shut-off assistance
The Chapter does not cover on-going payments, maintenance services or expenses directly related to medical care.
