The Maryland Chapter's Services Navigator is a trained social worker who assists members with “navigating” the often confusing health and social services systems. The Services Navigator assists members with targeting the specific community agencies and organizations that will help members attain their specific needs. The Services Navigator also coordinates the needs of members who have identified multiple needs via the Chapter's Financial Assistance Program. The Services Navigator also assists members who can identify their needs, but also need to engage the skills and the support of a social worker who can help to “navigate” services, resources and programs in the community.
