The Minnesota Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (MN-CCD) will host town hall meetings across the state this fall. The MN-CCD Breaking through Poverty Town Hall Forum season will kickoff on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in Baxter, Minn. This is the first of 11 statewide meetings MN-CCD is hosting this fall in collaboration with local disability advocacy and provider organizations.
Each forum begins with an advocacy training, where participants will learn more about the policies that unjustly impoverish members of the disability community and what we can do about it. The second half of the event will provide the opportunity for people to share their personal experience on issues with their local policymakers.
