MS and Your Feelings (book cover)MS and Your Feelings

Overall Rating: * * * *

"It talked right to me, everything I’ve been through, all the feelings I go through. It was like she had read my mind and sat down to talk to me about it. Not written in all medical terms or over my head." -- Kimberly Grage

Subject:
The broad range of emotional struggles a person with MS and their loved ones experience, and various suggestions on how to cope.
Summary: It’s an insider’s look at how to handle the many ups and downs of MS. She breaks everything down in easy to follow chapters with activities to help a person track their symptoms, etc. and how they deal with them. She also includes a ton of resources for additional information and support.
Recommend Because: The author has MS. She has been there; she has struggled with and triumphed over many of the same challenges as you do. It is written in a very easy to read and follow format, perfect for anyone; whether you have just been diagnosed, have had MS for many years, or just want to know more about this debilitating disease.
Other Comments: I started reading this book thinking that I would find all sorts of things I didn’t like. Allison Shadday gently coaxed me through each chapter and helped me to realize that her book is an excellent resource for all. The only part I didn’t like was I found a ton of typos and spelling errors, as if the editor didn’t read it very closely.

Recommend Because: It talked right to me, everything I’ve been through, all the feelings I go through. It was like she had read my mind and sat down to talk to me about it. Not written in all medical terms or over my head. Really easy reading and helpful no matter where you are at in this disease.
