Join Google Group for support group leaders
A Google Group for Minnesota chapter group leaders has been launche with considerable assistance from support group area coordinator Robin Scheib. Google Groups is a free service that allows online discussion among people with shared interests, activities or concerns.
Group membership is by invitation and is extended only to leaders of Minnesota chapter supported clubs and groups. As such, we are inviting you! By establishing this Google Group we intend to offer an easy way for group leaders to connect with one another and the chapter. Potential benefits include:
- rapid communication among group leaders and the chapter
- quick link for e-mailing a large group of facilitators simultaneously
- safe arena for generating feedback, discussion and ideas for addressing group related issues or concerns
- place to share your speaker/program resources and group discussion topics
- additional avenue to promote special programs/events your group offers
If you do not already have a personal account with Google, you need to establish one in order to join the Google Group for Minnesota chapter support group leaders. Instructions for establishing your account and joining the group follow.

To create a Google Groups account, click here.
Then, click "Create Account" and follow instructions provided.
Create a “Profile.” At a minimum, put in your name and the city or location of your group.
To join Minnesota chapter support group leader’s Google Group:
- Log on to your personal Google Groups account at http://www.google.com/. You will find the following menu at the top of the page:
Web | Images | Videos | Maps | News | Shopping | Mail | more
- Click "more" (delivers menu list).
- Click “Groups"
- Type “MS Society MN group leaders” in Search Groups bar. Hit Enter.
- You must ask for permission to join the group. Select the “contact group leader” link for permission.
- To see a current list of members, recent discussion posted by members, etc., click your selection from the menu on the right side of web page.
