Care Partner programs

User Options:

Care partners play an important role in the lives of people with MS. At the Chapter we reach out to support family members, partners and friends in caring roles. On this page you can find links to more information about programs of interest to care partners and caregivers. For more information, please contact Jeff Fisher, community support coordinator, at 612-335-7951 or jeff.fisher@nmss.org.

Current opportunities

Mentor Program
The Mentor Program pairs people who have MS with others living with the disease or with people who know a great deal about it to provide mutual support for both participants.

National website
The National MS Society offers helpful resources for care partners in a section called: MS and Home Caregivers.

Care Partner Relief Grant
Sometimes care partners need a break. Financial assistance is available for respite care — so family care partners can take time to rest, relax or attend to personal or business matters.

Youth Camp
Kids who have a parent or live in a household with a person who has MS are invited to spend a week at Camp Icaghowan in Amery, Wisconsin.
