Aids for daily living are non-medical devices that can help simplify day-to-day tasks, enhance recreational activities and make life easier for people living with MS. The Minnesota Chapter provides the Aids for Daily Living Grant to help purchase these items.
How it works
- To be eligible for the Aids for Daily Living Grant, you must have multiple sclerosis and be registered with the National MS Society, Minnesota Chapter. If you are not already registered, create an account.
- The item(s) must be covered under the program. See below for a list of example items.
- If you are considering purchasing aids for daily living and would like financial assistance, you must first contact the chapter office for authorization.
- The Minnesota Chapter may assist with the entire cost of the item, up to $100.
- The maximum amount of reimbursement per person in one fiscal year (Oct. 1 to Sept. 30) is $100.
The Joanne Levin Endowment Fund underwrites the Minnesota Chapter’s Aids for Daily Living Grant program. This program is in addition to the Adaptive Equipment/Home and Vehicle Modification Grant that provides limited financial assistance for the purchase of independent living aids.
