Challenge Walk MS Moving To St. Charles County

The Gateway Area Chapter's annual Dean Team Automotive Challenge Walk MS will have a new home for 2009. The three-day, fifty-mile walk will start and end each day at St. Charles Community College. By walking in the Challenge Walk MS, participants do what thousands of people with MS are unable to do themselves – put one foot in front of the other. Multiple Sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body and it stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis.

The Dean Team Automotive Challenge Walk MS is a three-day, 50-mile experience that tests participants’ strength and spirit and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of the more than 6,000 people in our area living with multiple sclerosis.

The Dean Team Automotive Challenge Walk MS is one of St. Louis’ premier walk events. Through this event, participants are raise funds for vital research and programming dedicated to finding a cure—and aiding those who live with MS.
