MS Awareness Week 2008 was a huge success. Every year we mobilze large groups of volunteers to raise awareness throughout the Triad and beyond.

Tips on what you can do to raise awareness about Multiple Sclerosis
- Make your mark against MS at nationalmssociety.org.
- Raise awareness by wearing your orange MS wristband, purchasing orange suckers and passing them out with MS Awareness postcards (postcards available by contacting the office at 299-4136) or post an MS Awareness Poster. Contact the Chapter if you would like to purchase wristbands for $1. All other items are free.
- Wear orange throughout the week and encourage family, friends and coworkers to do the same.
- Become an activist and sign up for the MS Action Network. You will be sent a MS Action Alert when an important issue or piece of legislation calls for your immediate action. Visit http://capwiz.com/nmss/mlm/signup/ to sign up!
- Register for Walk MS or Bike MS.
- Call some of your friends and organize a 3rd party event to support your local chapter; money raised will go to the chapter for local programs and services and to fund national research initiatives that will help all people living with MS.

- Register for a chapter program: Visit our chapter calendar of events to register.
- Tell five people it’s MS Awareness Week - ask them to tell five more people.
- If you are a person with MS, put a face on MS by submitting your story to faceofms.org.
- Forward the web site address nationalmssociety.org to 10 people in one hour to encourage them to join the movement.
- Sign up to volunteer through your local chapter.
- Spend one hour with someone living with MS to better understand what it means to have MS.
- Visit nationalmssociety.org every day during MS Awareness Week for new tips and ideas
