 July 13, 2010 Participating in Clinical Trials  An overview of the drug development process that must be followed in order to bring a drug to market in the United States. You will be given an overview of the “phases” of clinical trials that are required for a new drug application to be approved by the FDA. There will be a discussion on some of the risks and benefits of participating in clinical trials and a summary of the informed consent process. MS drug development research and several challenges/obstacles to research progress will also be addressed.
