South Carolina Government Relations Committee

The South Carolina Government Relations Committee (SC GRC) is composed of a diverse population of people with differing activist skills and knowledge. We believe that it is important for organizations and individuals that share similar issues to join in a collaborative effort. A larger and diverse coalition makes a stronger legislative statement and enhances the potential for success.

The purpose of the SC GRC is to actively identify and address issues that affect people with MS in South Carolina. Once the issues are identified, the SC GRC guides the advocacy process to improve the benefits, services, and quality of life for people living with multiple sclerosis in South Carolina.

Recruiting Members

We are currently recruiting members to the SC GRC. Members do not have to have MS, but a connection to MS is helpful. Meetings are held quarterly via telephone, so it is convenient to participate no matter where you live.  In addition you may be asked to research an issue, draft letters to legislators or to newspapers, create talking points papers, or update the SC Activist blog or website.
