Eastern NC Chapter Announces Jeff Furst as New Chapter President
The Eastern North Carolina Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is pleased to announce Jeff Furst has been hired as the new chapter president. The chapter, located in Raleigh, serves over 4,600 individuals living with MS in a 49-county area.
Furst comes to the Society from Family Alternatives, Inc. where he served as president/chief executive officer. In that position, he led a $13MM organization with 325 employees and 18 service sites. Prior to his work with Family Alternatives, Furst worked as the director of community development at the Mental Health Association in NC. Furst earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Grove City College.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Furst is very active in his community. He has served in many leadership roles including president of the Johnston County United Way, chairman for the March of Dimes Walkathon, vice president of the Jaycees, as well as work with the Chamber of Commerce and Community Health Charities.
