What is Team Village?
Team Village is a place where you and your team can celebrate on Walk day. Bring or rent a tent, set up some comfy lawn chairs, and tailgate with us! It's the perfect location to hang out and celebrate with your teammates before and after walking.
How it Works
At your Walk MS site, the National MS Society will designate a location just for teams. For the Raleigh Walk, teams may rent tents, tables, and chairs through the National MS Society by March 14th or bring their own supplies. At all other Walk MS locations, we encourage teams to bring pop-up tents, tables, and outdoor chairs to enjoy the day's festivities. Teams can bring snacks and drinks, decorations, banners, and much more to make the experience memorable! Think tailgating at the Super Bowl! All teams participating in Team Village should fill our out Team Village Space Reservation Form.
Advantages of Team Village
- Be centrally located – Team Village will be the centerpiece of 2012 Walk MS. So, your team will have easy access to the entertainment, food, and fun on Walk day.
- Generate excitement around your team, your supporters, your company and Walk MS.

Provide a leadership role to a team volunteer as the “Tent Captain” who is responsible for:
- Organizing a group of volunteers who will choose the theme and decor.
- Planning special perks like great snacks & drinks, comfy chairs, etc.
- Involve families of team members and co-workers by having them volunteer to operate/organize the tent.
- Allow team sponsors to be present in the tent to hand out their products, coupon or flyers for their business.
