The chapter collaborates with WakeMed Rehab to offer this day activity program to people with MS. Club REACH is offered by WakeMed and is designed for individuals who no longer need hospital care, but who have activity limitations. The program helps individuals return to the community and the recreational activities they once enjoyed.
Club REACH meets three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Participants can attend all days or only one day. The program is coordinated by certified therapeutic recreation specialists.
Activities include organized recreation programs, health and leisure education, supportive counseling, spiritual opportunities, group exercise classes, use of fitness equipment, community outings, opportunities for socialization and volunteer opportunities.
Cost is $30/day which includes all activities. Contact the chapter if you need financial assistance. Transportation is not provided, but WakeMed Rehab is on the bus line and a stop for Accessible Raleigh Transportation.
