Funded by the Kids 'N Community Foundation
This special funding was established to improve the quality of life of children who have a parent or guardian with MS or who have MS themselves. The funds will offer children the opportunity to participate in childhood activities that might not be possible otherwise.
Examples of what can be funded:
- Organized sports teams
- Team uniforms
- Boy/Girl Scouts
- School clothes
- School pictures
- Field Trips
- Musical Instruments
- Music/Art lessons
- YMCA/YWCA memberships
- Other activities
Guidelines for receiving funding:
- Both parent and child must live in chapter area.
- Child must be 18 years of age or younger.
- A financial assistance application must be completed and an agreement made before any expenditure.
- The chapter does not reimburse individuals.
- Income limits and financial guidelines apply.
- Requests are limited to one request per child per year.
- There is no guarantee of availability of funds.
- Priority will be given to families who have not received funding.
- Receiving funding one year does not automatically guarantee funding for next year.
