Caring for someone with a chronic illness like MS can be deeply satisfying. Partners, family and friends can be drawn closer together by meeting the challenges together. But, caregiving can also be physically and emotionally exhausting. There is a vast array of caregiving activities ranging from helping with the injections of a disease-modifying drug to providing more direct care. In honor of these exceptional people, November has been designated as National Caregiver Appreciation Month.
The chapter would like to help you thank your special caregiver. We will send a coffee mug full of treats to that person along with a letter from you! Please write a letter addressed to your caregiver thanking them for what he/she has done for you. The letter will be enclosed with the mug. Limit one per family. Mugs will be sent out in November only.
Please send your letter along with the name and address of the caregiver to: the National MS Society, 3101 Industrial Drive, Suite 210, Raleigh, NC 27609, or e-mail Jennifer Thompson to submit your letter and caregiver information electronically.
