The North Central States Chapter of the National MS Society offers the Make A Connection (MAC) Peer Support Program. The program pairs people who have MS with others living with the disease or with people who know a great deal about it to provide mutual support for both participants.
Weekly peer support is provided via telephone and all conversations are held in the strictest of confidence. Peer relationships are intended to be short-term, generally lasting three to four months, but may last longer. Training is provided to all mentors.
If you are interested in getting connected with a peer mentor or would like to volunteer as a mentor, please contact your local program manager at 1-800-344-4867.
