Multiple Sclerosis adds stress to people's lives, however, the issue is not whether stress is altering the course of MS but how a person can most effectively deal with the stress that life and MS produce. The Long Island Chapter has support help available.
Our Case Management/Assessment Program is available for members and families in crisis. A visit and written assessment is arranged with a social worker to develop a plan to assist members caregivers and/or families that are affiliated with MS.
By introducing our support and subsidy programs, while including the wellness activities available our members may learn of alternative outlets and financial assistance offered through the Chapter. In turn this will develop a plan of action that will improve the quality of life for the person living with MS as well as family members and caregivers involved.
