SPECIAL COMMITTEES

Business Advisory Council: Provide industry related advice to members seeking employment or career guidance. All professions and industries welcome.

Government Relations Committee: Determine and advocate on current pending issues that are important to people living with MS, their friends and family.

Hispanic Outreach Committee: Work to support and cultivate programs currently offered to Spanish speaking members of the chapter, and assist with the creation of new programming to Spanish speaking communities in the five boroughs and Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Sullivan counties.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES

Event Captains: Work to go that extra mile to make the New York City - Southern New York Chapter's one day mass market events the best. Volunteer Captains help the day run smoother by adding an extra level of expertise. Not only will you learn what goes on behind the scenes, you will meet amazing staff and volunteers who are all here to create a world free of MS. Event Captains are needed for Bike MS, Walk MS, and Climb to the Top.

Chapter Ambassadors: Serve as a representative of the Society and assist with the success of select special events and member programs. Key responsibilities will include providing on-site event assistance and answering attendee inquiries on the Society's programs, services, and events. A year long commitment is required consisting of two events per quarter minimum. Additional screening and training are required.
