Legal Programs and Services

A volunteer attorney is available two days a week to provide information and to assist members with finding legal resources for managing such issues as social security disability applications and appeals, ADA complaints, wills and trusts, etc. This program can also assist members with one-on-one coaching on personal finances--budgeting, improving credit scores and other financial management techniques.

Thank you for attending the 22nd Annual Legal Day at the New York City Office. Attorneys and financial planners provided free half-hour consultations in nine subject areas: Social Security benefits, job discrimination, housing discrimination, matrimonial law, wills, disability insurance claims, general financial planning, planning for Medicaid, and bankruptcy. Please check back for more updates and stay tuned for information on next year's event.


Save the date: Legal Day 2010 will be held in the White Plains office on Saturday May 8, 2010.

We are offering free half-hour consultations in the following areas:
Social Security Disability benefits, planning for Medicaid/special needs trusts/advance directives, job discrimination/accessibility, wills/trusts/estates, general financial planning, and matrimonial law (divorce/custody/support)
