The NY Coalition Action Network, which includes the National MS Society’s NYC – Southern New York Chapter, Upstate NY and Long Island Chapters, initiated state legislation that created a personalized license plate, displaying the Society logo in 2004. The goal was to create awareness and raise money to support pediatric MS research across the state of New York. To date, the license plates have raised more than $26,000! Proceeds from this initiative will be donated to the Pediatric MS Center at Jacobs Neurological Institute in Buffalo and the National Pediatric MS Center at Stony Brook this fall. To continue fundraising and awareness efforts, the Society is releasing these license plates for purchase.
