Campaign Manager - Buffalo Office

The National MS Society (NMSS) Buffalo, NY office has an exciting opportunity for a development professional. Campaign Manager responsibilities include managing our premier event, the Walk MS, and aspects of our Dinner of Champions and Team Up for MS Campaign. Other job duties include, coordinating third-party events, as well as building relationships with donors and event participants. An NMSS Campaign Manager will also meet specific corporate sponsorship and fund-raising goals and objectives to further the mission of the NMSS.
An ideal candidate for the position of Campaign Manager will be a self-motivated, high-energy person with experience in identifying, recruiting & cultivating volunteers, donors and corporate sponsors and must have additional experience in planning and executing special events. Excellent benefits, salary low 30’s, travel required.
Requirements for this position are as follows:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of special event, fund-raising or equivalent experience
- Is able to seek and use information from many sources
- Understands the importance of and be able to work within a team
- Experience achieving specific fund-raising goals
- Experience in working with volunteers
- Ability to demonstrate past success regarding relationships with organizational constituents
- Strong presentation skills, oral and written are required to articulate how the organization raises and spends money.
- Stays current on awareness of external trends and factors into strategies
- Must be able to multitask, and prioritize to handle multiple deadlines
- Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of the Buffalo area and surrounding area markets is essential
- Access to a car as frequent local travel throughout the market is required
- Ability to work occasional evenings/weekends (Some travel required.)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
