About This Chapter

Welcome to the Ohio Buckeye Chapter of the National MS Society. Established in 1953, the Chapter is an important part of a nationwide network that advances the Society's mission to achieve a world free of multiple sclerosis.

We provide quality programs and services  to over 10,000 Ohioans living with MS and their families in a 38-county area. Areas served include the Akron, Cleveland, Columbus and Youngstown metropolitan areas as well as all Central and Eastern Ohio counties. Ohioans are also served by the National MS Society's Ohio Valley Chapter (Cincinnati and Dayton) and the Northwestern Ohio Chapter (Toledo).

In addition, we contribute to funding cutting edge research into the cause and cure for MS. Over $8.7 million is being invested in the Ohio Buckeye Chapter area supporting 21 researchers and 24 research projects. The timeline of these projects spans from April 1, 2005 through March 31, 2013. Donors should be proud to know that their contributions are coming back to Ohio to support some of the best MS research in the world! For information on research going on in Ohio, please click here.
