New Ohio License Plate Available May 11, 2009.
On January 6, 2009, Governor Ted Strickland signed Senate Bill 243 making the creation of the MS Awareness license plate a law.
And on May 11, 2009 that license plate will be available for purchase from the Ohio BMV.
To purchase the plate, there is an additional charge of $25 and a portion of that charge is donated back to the Ohio chapters of the National MS Society. If you have a personalized plate, you can still get the new MS Awareness plate as well.
If you have already renewed your plate in 2009 and would like to switch to the MS Awareness plate, you can do so by paying the additional $25 charge plus a $5.39 fee.
