Durable Medical Equipment
Direct Assistance can provide financial assistance for assistive technology devices, including scooters, wheelchairs, walkers, lift chairs and bathroom equipment. Assistance provided through this program may include assistance with insurance co-payment costs, the short-term or long-term loan of various durable medical equipment devices, or the purchase of non-loan, personal care or hygiene-related devices.     

Cooling Devices
Direct Assistance can provide cooling vests and window air conditioners for relief during the summer months. Look for more information about this program and dates of operation closer to the summer.

Home Modifications
Financial assistance can be provided toward minor home modifications such as ramps, grab bars and lifts for increased accessibility.

Vehicle Modifications
Financial assistance may be provided toward hand controls and other vehicle modifications, but Direct Assistance funds may not cover the entire cost of these projects (additional vehicle modification resources are available upon request).
