Bike MS participant places 8th in the 2009 Duathlon World Championships
Michelle O’Neill, a member of the Pure Protein Steamrollers Bike MS team, competed in the 2009 
Duathlon World Championships at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, NC on September 26th as a member of Team USA in the women’s 45-49 age group. Michelle finished 8th in the world and was 5th out of the 16 U.S. women who competed in the 45-49 age group. Her combined time for a 10K run, 40K bike, and another 5K run was 2:16:31. This was Michelle’s second year as a member of Team USA. In September 2008 she finished 14th in the world at the Duathlon World Championships in Rimini, Italy. In addition to being a world class duathlete, Michelle is an RN, mother of five, and a grandmother!
