Golden Circle Research Reception & Lab Tour - December 3
The National MS Society Ohio Valley Chapter is excited to announce the national launch of The Golden Circle - a special place for people with a special commitment to a world free of MS. On behalf of everyone affected by multiple sclerosis, the National MS Society has created a membership program acknowledging the important support of individuals who truly make their mark against MS by making an annual gift of $1000 or more.
This is our inaugural Golden Circle event; a research reception and lab tour with Dr. Debra Mayes, Ph.D. of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Mayes is a postdoctoral fellow in Nancy Ratner's lab at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and received a National MS Society Fellowship Award in July 2008 for her research pertaining to multiple sclerosis. Her research attempts to understand the mechanisms of oligodendrocytes (the myelinating cells of the brain).
