MS shouldn't stand in the way of education. The National MS Society's scholarship program exists to help highly qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of going to college.

The Oklahoma Chapter provided 14 High School Seniors with College Scholarships for the 2009 school year. Congratulations to the following Recipients.
Victoria Antonio (Norman, OK)
- Graduated 1st in her class of 363 students from Norman North High School
- Plans to pursue degree in Chemical Engineering from either the University of Oklahoma or Texas A&M University
- Captain of the Norman North Varsity Cheerleading team, Captain of the Norman North Competition Squad, Vice President of the Key Club, member of the Spanish Club, and a member of the National Honor Society
- Future Goals: Become a Doctor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, then to open her own practice one day to help pregnant teenagers
Stephanie Cook (Edmond, OK)
- Graduate of Edmond Memorial High School
- Plans to attend University of Central Oklahoma or the University of Oklahoma in the Fall
- Involved in Music, Envirodog Club, French Club, a Library volunteer and a Bulldog Mentor
Davis Cosgrove (Tulsa, OK)
- Graduate of Union High School
- Attending Oklahoma State University in the Fall
- National MS Society volunteer for Bike MS and Walk MS
- Member of Varsity baseball team, National Honor Society, and the Drug Free Youth Program
- Future Goals: Earn degree in dentistry in hopes of becoming an orthodontist with his own practice
Benjamin Garner (Lindsay, OK)
- Graduate of Lindsay High School
- All-District and All-Star Football player and was involved in Track and Power lifting
- Superintendent’s Honor Roll 4 consecutive years; Earned drafting degree at the Mid-America Technology Center
- Future Goals: Earn a degree in Pre-Med from the University of Oklahoma so that he can help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis
Kailen Kinsey (Bethany, OK)
- Graduate of Bethany High School
- Plans to pursue degree in Studio Art and Creative Writing from either the University of Oklahoma or Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia
- 3rd in her class of 93
- Member of National Honor Society, Hearts for Hearing and involved with school plays
- Future Goals: Her dream is to pursue writing and illustrating books as her career
Amanda Meyer (Luther, OK)
- Graduate of Bridgeway Academy
- Will attend the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia in the fall
- National Merit and State Merit awards
- Volunteer photographer at the recent Oklahoma Bike MS 2-day ride and other MS events
- Future Goals: To be a photographer that travels and takes artistic photographs
Emma Meyer (Broken Arrow, OK)
- Graduate of Broken Arrow High School
- Attending Oklahoma State University to pursue a Degree in Marketing
- Involved in Relay for Life, Race for a Cure, Invisible Children group, and DECA
- Future Goals: to have a career in advertising, graphic design and marketing; she’d love to be a magazine editor
Nicolas Pfenning (Hobart, OK)
- Graduate of Hobart High School
- Attending Oklahoma State University to pursue a Degree in Physical Education
- Student Council, FFA, and Jr. Main Street member
- Future Goals: Earn a degree in physical education so he can one day become a great Coach
Skylar Rainey (Marietta, OK)
- Graduate of Marietta High School
- Student Government, Band, Flag Corps member
- Attending East Central University to acquire a degree in Business
- Volunteer for Special Olympics
Cody Saint (Jenks, OK)
- Graduate of Jenks High School
- Active with high school baseball team and with the Jenks Youth Baseball Day Camp, World Baseball Outreach and the Buddy Baseball for Autistic Children Future Goals: Obtain a Master’s Degree and then become a CFO

Whitney Stanford (McAlester, OK)
- Graduate of Haileyville High School
- Vice President and Secretary of the 4-H club, President of her Class
- Involved in the BPA club, FCCLA, NAC, and the softball team
- Attending Eastern Oklahoma State College to acquire an Associates Degree
- Future Goals: Transfer to the University of Oklahoma to acquire a Doctorate in Pharmacy
Kortney Teachey (Stratford, OK)
- Graduate of Stratford High School
- State 4-H Ambassador, President of the Student Council, Vice President of the Stratford FCCLA, and President of the Pontotoc County Meat Science Club
- Attending East Central University to acquire a Degree in Speech Therapy
- Future Goals: Work with children to treat voice disorders, stuttering problems or learning disabilities leading them to a stronger academic performance
Whitnee West (Lawton, OK)
- Graduate of Eisenhower High School
- Active in National Honor Society, Crimestoppers, a Student Government Senior Senator and House of Representatives participant and a Student Athletic Trainer
- Active in high school Varsity Softball team as Team Captain and Varsity Golf team
- Attending the University of Oklahoma majoring in Pre-Occupational therapy
- Future Goals: Attend Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to obtain a Master’s in Occupational Therapy
