World MS Day – May 27, 2009
The National MS Society is proud to join the MS International Federation and member MS societies from around the world in the first ever, global MS movement.
|

|
World MS Day has been established to:
• Raise awareness of MS, national MS societies and the global MS movement
• Unite, broaden and mobilize the global MS movement
• Raise awareness of the need for greater international collaboration in research to end MS
• Generate funds to support the global MS movement
How can you get involved?
Individuals, groups and organizations can:
• Visit WorldMSDay.org and “register” your involvement in the global MS movement; joining countless others from over 100 countries around the world—see the “map.”
• In the United States, with the opportunity for health care reform a real possibility, the Society is asking all supporters to contact their federal legislators and voice support for universal health care coverage.
• Your Oregon Chapter will be out and about in Portland on World MS Day, raising awareness and growing our MS Activist Network.
Visit with us or sign up for MS Action Alerts at our World MS Day table at the Portland Farmers Market (South Park Blocks between SW Salmon & Main), on Wednesday, May 27 from 11am – 1pm.
Why get involved?
The global MS movement unites every person with and affected by MS worldwide and every individual, group and organization in the world fighting to improve the quality of life of all people with MS and the many more people affected by it.
