On-Going Volunteer Opportunities:

General Office Volunteers:  We need many helpful hands for clerical tasks at the Chapter office in downtown Portland. Our office volunteers help us prepare and label mailings, organize files, verify data, etc. There is always something to do and great people with whom to share the work.

On-Call Volunteers:  Can't come on a regular basis?  Join our team and come in when the workload is especially high. We’ll call you when we need some extra help.

Health Fairs and Public Speakers:  Enjoy sharing information with people?  Several times a year we are invited to staff an information booth at health fairs or events related to Chapter fundraising. We could call you when we receive requests for a speaker at a school or service club.

Data Entry:  Work in a friendly, supportive environment with a flexible schedule and learn qualities of a relational database. Advance your computer skills by aiding the Chapter in updating and maintaining information. Training in database system is provided.

Self-Help Groups:  Get involved with others with MS and/or their caregivers. Become a member or leader of a group.  View a list of current Self-Help Groups.

Scanning for MS:  Do you receive the daily newspaper in your area? If you do, we need help keeping track of information published about MS. Cut out any articles about MS, MS research, MS legislation, and the National MS Society and mail them to the Chapter office.
