SEPTA Bus Familiarization Program

SEPTA busIn accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), SEPTA’s regular fixed route buses are 100% accessible to and usable by customers with disabilities. To assist those riders who have not used the fixed route system, SEPTA CCT conducts a Bus Familiarization Program. The ½ day session covers the following:

  • An overview of ADA regulations and conditional eligibility
  • A discussion with current fixed route riders with disabilities
  • How to obtain bus information - schedules, fares
  • An accessible bus demonstration and practice session

Upon completion of the program, riders are issued a survey and two SEPTA tokens for use on the SEPTA fixed-route system. When the survey is returned to SEPTA, participants receive an additional five tokens to use on SEPTA buses.
