Personal Care Supplies

This service is offered to members who have bowel and bladder dysfunction. Items include, but are not limited to:

  • disposable briefs
  • serenity pads
  • catheters
  • under pads

To qualify for this service:

  • Insurance and other third party options have been denied
  • If approved, the Society will cover the first $300.00 per person
  • Every participant will have to be evaluated by their urologist before enrolling in the program. This will ensure that using incontinence products is the most appropriate option for each person. Your urologist may be able to give you a bowel and bladder management program that can help decrease your dependence on incontinence products and increase your quality of life
  • Every participant must submit an application (PDF) with proof of their income. This will help us to ensure that the clients with the most critical financial needs are getting assistance. Our new income guidelines are based on the federal poverty guidelines. We have multiplied the federal limits by 3 in order to set our chapter’s financial guidelines

If you have questions please do not hesitate to call the chapter, 215-271-1500, ext. 255.

House Cleaning

Occasional house cleaning assistance can be provided to members who are experiencing challenges with completing everyday tasks. Please call the chapter at 215-271-1500 to see if you are an appropriate candidate for this service.

For this service:

Home Care

People with multiple sclerosis experience exacerbations or flare-ups which may require home care on an on-going or intermittent basis. The chapter can provide temporary home health aides to provide short term support. Appropriate situations could include:

  • additional support after flare-up
  • regular attendant is not available and gap coverage is needed
  • awaiting implementation of state sponsored home care.

The home care service is not for clients in need of long term service.

For this service:

A Consent to Services form must be completed and submitted to the chapter before any assistance can be provided.
