Event Planning Teams:
- Walk MS planning teams work alongside chapter staff to create fun, safe and well-organized events. Volunteers should be willing to use their professional and personal connections to bring attention and revenue to the event.
- Bike MS planning team members help market the events, act as liaisons with local communities and promote safety on the rides. Volunteers should be willing to use their professional and personal connections to bring attention to the rides and plan safe and successful events.
Grants volunteer
The grants volunteers will identify and write grants for existing services provided by the chapter, as well as grants for new services and public policy efforts.
Health insurance volunteer
The health insurance volunteers will assist in the management of the Health Insurance Initiative Project (HIIP). The volunteer will oversee the creation and management of the HIIP Web site, assist clients with their health insurance appeals and research and write policy papers on health insurance-related issues.
Pro bono counseling volunteer
Licensed, professional counselors will agree to take one client with multiple sclerosis pro bono per year.
Scholarship volunteer
The scholarship volunteers will create online resource guide for families that explains and provides links to resources to pay for college.
