While MS is unpredictable, there are aspects of your life with MS that can be managed. This conference will focus on information and resources that will empower you to take control of many aspects of your life with MS. 

The conference will feature over ten speakers including a neurologist, medical doctor, nurses, legal and allied health professionals and vendors to this one day conference to give people the opportunity to gather information on treatments and community resources for MS and related issues. 

The wide variety of topics makes this program ideal for:

  ►  Newly Diagnosed Persons with MS
  ►  Caregivers of Person with MS
  ►  Healthcare Professionals

Agenda for the Day
This conference will be filled with presentations on a variety of interesting & helpful topics. The day will begin with a general session presented by MS Specialist, Dr. Frederick Munschauer. This lecture will be followed by your choice of three out of seven possible presentations. (Choose 1 of 3 options per hour)

8:30am/9:00am - Registration/Vendor Display Area Open/Continental Breakfast, Medical Vendors, Community Organizations, and others

9:00am/9:15am - General Session/ Welcome/Presentation

9:15am/10:00am - General Session/ Frederick Munschauer, MD, Chief Medical Director of the Jacobs Neurological Institute, Buffalo, NY. Learn what current research is being done on MS.

 10:15am—11:00am Sessions:

Having a disability doesn’t make you defenseless! Learn
practical safeguards to defend yourself. Whatever your
disability may be, Frank will show you methods of
defense that could save your life.

Having a diagnosis of MS affects all aspects of life especially concerning your finances, home and employment. Learn how to handle issues that may arise in the workplace, learn about foreclosures and bankruptcy and what to do in a financial crisis.

Couples and MS

MS can have its toll on individuals. Perhaps even more so on couples. This session will look at both sides of the coin when
dealing with issues concerning MS and healthy relationships.
 

Noon-1:00 pm - A sit down lunch will consist of Chicken Monterey, potato, salad, coffee and dessert.

1:15-2:15pm - Ask The Doc, Dr. Munschauer, MD. Dr. Munschauer will address questions from the audience.
