CALENDAR RELEASE

Fidelity Investments MS 150 - June 27-28
150 Miles over 2 Days - Cyclists Support MS

WARWICK, R.I., May 28, 2009 - A thousand cyclists will take to the streets on the last weekend of June to pedal 150 miles to raise awareness about and money for Rhode Islanders with multiple sclerosis.

On June 27-28, 2009, Fidelity Investments MS 150 will bring together a dedicated group of individuals for an event that raised nearly $700,000 last year.

Fidelity Investments MS 150 will start in Narragansett and end the first night at Connecticut College in New London, Conn. On Sunday, June 28th, the bikers will rise early and start the 75 miles back to Narragansett along a different route.

When each day ends, the cyclists celebrate their achievement. The New London finish line will feature a cookout, plenty of Harpoon Ale, live entertainment, and a full dinner. On the final day in Narragansett, with 150 miles under their belts, the cyclists will relax with a BBQ.

Since its inception 22 years ago, participation in MS 150 has grow as cyclists share their stories and others want to be part of an experience that is not only unique but exciting and fun. Some of the participants bike for a family member or loved one who has MS. Others have been touched by the disease in some way and are inspired to help.

About Multiple Sclerosis
MS interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States, someone is newly diagnosed with MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with more than twice as many women as men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 400,000 people in the United States and 2.5 million worldwide.
