Support Groups

The Rhode Island Chapter of the National MS Society offers support groups throughout the state to empower people with MS to feel more self-confident in coping with challenges. The groups meet regularly to learn about new information relating to MS, share experiences, and gain support.

MS Friends

Toll Free Helpline - 866.MSFriends
A toll-free, peer-support helpline, MSFriends is available 24/7. Staffed by trained volunteers who have MS, it is a lifeline offering immediate assistance and connecting people who are in need of help with others who have learned to live and thrive with their condition. MSFriends is especially valuable if you feel isolated or confused about available services, drug therapies, or how to seek appropriate medical treatment. To find out more, visit www.msfriends.org.

Talkin’ Teens

Talkin’ Teens provides a safe place for teens to meet and discuss their experiences online. For ages 13-18, the chat room is open every Thursday at 7 p.m., EST, on MSWorld, the official bulletin board and chat room site of the National MS Society. An adult and a teenager with MS moderate the discussion. Teens must register to participate. To find out more, call us at 401.738.8383, Option 2, and ask for Programs and Services.
